Hi. I'm a level designer for Gearbox Software in Plano, TX, where I live with my wife, son, and 2 cats.

That... pretty much covers it.

I got my true start in level design (ignoring a few wasted years of doodling in Quake and Quake II) in the Half-Life community, where I struck gold with a map for Natural Selection by the name of Eclipse. I cashed in quick with a sequel (Veil) and toddled off to Raven Software to work on Quake 4. Yes, it should have been IV.

While Quake was a mostly fun experience with a bunch of awesome people who are now mostly scattered across the industry, it became clear that what I really wanted out of a job in the industry was elsewhere. Enter Gearbox Software, an independent studio not in California with free snacks and a location in which I can get regional Big XII football broadcasts.
