Some more behind the scenes work... general clean-up and fixes. More posting this to bump that snake guy down a bit, but oh well. I've got my contributions to the Quake 4 map pack put together for posting, but still have to hold off on it until I get approval. For anyone keeping track at home, you'll be seeing entries for "Skeleton Crew," "Outpatient" and "Tremors" (q4dm11, q4dm10, and q4ctf7 respectively). In between wife/baby time and Burnout Revenge time, I've been making some forward progress on a couple Q4 MP maps as well as a pair of Q4 SP projects. It's slow going, but nice to have an opportunity to do something where I'm 100% in control. Will post more about those when it's appropriate. I think Relay (one of the SP projects) will be first to emerge, though I can show you this much of Sunset (thanks to Lunaran for that nifty badge). Relay is a sort of oddball squad-based thing where you remotely order a 4-man squad through a level and don't actually fire a shot. Tough to explain. I'm sure the internet will hate it!

I've temporarily deleted the 3D category from the ol' Portfolio section. I'd originally intended for more stuff to show up much sooner, and without that it was... well, kinda lame. If you're visiting from Lunaran's site, I swear, I'll have the Q4 map pack stuff up soon! Oh, and if you're not, you can go over there and see a couple shots of a Q4DM map I'm working on in a Q2 remake texture set he's working on.

Hey, check this out. I added something of note! I now have my Quake 4 map pack work online in the portfolio section. One shot of two of the maps I worked on is shown on the right, and you can get the rest of the info right here. This was a fun batch of maps to work on and 2 of them represent varying degrees of a tag-team effort with the oft-linked Lunaran. You'll have to read on to see which ones... I also noticed last night that another Q4 designer has a small collection of shots from his Q4 work now up on his site. It's pretty good stuff. I stole almost everything I built from him. Shh. I fiddled around with the site some more late last night... you'll notice a new font (which I'm quite fond of myself; it looks much cleaner to me) and yet another new header image. Things were looking too bland so I figured I'd retain some color in a shot this time. That shot of Skeleton Crew held a nice palette to match the site, so it wins. Hooray.

More stuff! Here's a quick update on the Doom III-powered Eclipse. This is just a visual makeover for my old Natural Selection stuff and not a full playable map. By popular demand, the older orange lighting scheme has finally returned and I've swapped out a number of textures that I think fit the original idea better. Expect a finished version soon. I've noticed actually finishing something is always good inspiration to get work done on other slow-moving side projects, so that should be fun.
